HiAlly Data Deletion
Last updated 26 September 2026
This page explains how to ask HiAlly to delete data we hold, what can be deleted, and how that differs from disconnecting a WhatsApp, Telegram or Instagram integration.
To request deletion, email hello@hially.in with the subject “Data deletion request”. Deletion requests are handled by a person, not automatically.
1. How to request deletion
Send your request by email to hello@hially.in. Please send it from the email address linked to your HiAlly account where you have one.
2. What to include
So that we can find the right data — and only that data — please include:
- If you are a business using HiAlly: your company name as registered with HiAlly, the email address of the account, whether you want everything deleted or only part (for example one channel’s conversation history, or an uploaded list), and confirmation that you are authorised to ask on the business’s behalf.
- If you messaged a business that uses HiAlly: the name of the business, the platform you used (WhatsApp, Telegram or Instagram), the number or username you messaged from, and roughly when.
- If you use a local product: the email address and shop name you used when you activated it.
We may ask you to confirm that you control the account, number or username, so that we never delete someone else’s data.
3. What can be deleted
- For a business: team member accounts, company settings, uploaded product and customer lists, stored connection details and credentials, conversation history, enquiries, team reports and activity records.
- For a customer of a business: your messages and conversation history with that business as held by HiAlly, enquiries you made, and the identifiers stored with them.
- For a local product: your licence record. The business data inside a local product is on your own computer, not with us — you can delete it yourself at any time.
4. Connected WhatsApp, Telegram and Instagram data
Deleting data held by HiAlly removes HiAlly’s copy. It does not delete messages from your phone or your customers’ phones, and it does not delete information that Meta or Telegram hold under their own policies — use each platform’s own settings for that. The Instagram integration is not available yet; when it is, the same applies to Instagram data held by HiAlly.
5. Disconnecting is not the same as deleting
Disconnecting
Removing your WhatsApp number or Telegram bot in your HiAlly settings stops new messages and removes the stored connection and its credential. Removing HiAlly’s access in your Meta business settings also stops new WhatsApp messages. Neither one deletes anything else: past conversations and enquiries stay in your HiAlly account.
Deleting
Asking us to delete removes the data HiAlly holds. If a channel is still connected, new messages will create new records — so disconnect first if you want everything to stop.
6. What we may keep
We may keep information we are required to keep by law, or need for security or to prevent misuse, and a record that the deletion request was made and completed. If we keep anything, we will tell you what and why.
7. Confirmation
When the deletion is done, we will confirm it by replying to your email, including what was deleted and anything we had to keep.
